We, the undersigned, encourage Universal Studios to release its films on the Blu-ray disc format as you do with the HD DVD format. There are currently millions of Blu-ray disc players in homes throughout the world and the decision for Universal Studios to withhold its films on the Blu-ray disc format is depriving these owners of enjoying many of their favorite films. We encourage Universal Studios to reevaluate its current distribution decision and begin releasing its films on the Blu-ray disc format.

We, the undersigned, encourage Paramount Home Entertainment to reconsider its recent decision of supporting the HD DVD format exclusively and begin releasing on the Blu-ray disc format once again at this time. There are currently millions of Blu-ray disc players in homes throughout the world and the decision for Paramount Home Entertainment to withhold its films on the Blu-ray disc format is depriving these owners of enjoying many of their favorite films. We encourage Paramount Home Entertainment to reevaluate its current distribution decision and begin releasing its films on the Blu-ray disc format.

Petition for Warner Home Entertainment

We, the undersigned, encourage Warner Home Entertainment to cease production of its films on the HD DVD format and begin exclusive production on the Blu-ray disc format. We call for this action to help bring an end to this needless high definition format war we are currently all participating in. We feel the Blu-ray disc format is best for Warner Home Entertainment to exclusively support as Blu-ray disc has consistently sold at a higher ratio (2:1) for Warner Home Entertainment releases which were produced on both competing HD formats. We also feel the additional space a Blu-ray disc offers (50 GB vs. HD DVD’s 30GB) will allow Warner Home Entertainment to maximize their special features and technical specification and at the same time allow longer films to be produced using one disc vs. having to split a movie over two discs. We respectfully ask Warner Home Entertainment to consider this suggestion and act on it as soon as possible.
